I’m Nisha Singh, founder of Lok Kala, a footwear brand rooted in Indian craftsmanship and cultural storytelling.
With a deep interest in fashion, humanities, and visual culture, my work sits at the intersection of design, craft, and narrative. I’m particularly drawn to exploring how traditional Indian techniques can be reinterpreted in contemporary forms, while staying respectful to the karigars and lineages that sustain them.
Through Lok Kala, I work closely with artisans who come from generations of karigari, aiming to highlight the depth, skill, and untapped potential of Indian craftsmanship. My focus extends beyond product creation to brand building, creative direction, and visual storytelling, using design as a medium to evoke emotion, memory, and identity.
